Holiday Lane Blog Hop!!

It's my turn to show you my Holiday Lane pillow from the Blog Hop! It was a fun pillow to make, easy peasy and very cute pattern! Thank you Jill at Jillily Studio for designing the pattern, Madam Sam at Sew We Quilt for coming up with the hop idea, and to Pauline at Quilt N Queen for hosting the hop and keeping us organized! We couldn't do it without each of you!

I decided to make my pillow a winter theme rather than a Christmas theme. I love to use winter decorations through February. I hope you like my fabric choices to make it feel wintery...

It's a nice big pillow, stretching across a whole width of a couch cushion. Looks good for a nice nap!

I did simple raw edge appliqué, hoping for a little raggedy fraying to happen over time. I added a few more doors and windows and stars to go along with the evening look of the sky. Nice and cozy! I also left off the flange since I wanted to keep it country and minimal in appearance. This was a fun project!

    Great fabric choice! I love that you can use it all winter. I will definitely have to keep this one in mind! For some reason it makes me want to snuggle up with the pillow and some hot chocolate!!!

    I adroe the country look you gave this pillow! I'm like you on wanting to decorate for just winter instead of Christmas. I hate the house when all the Christmas decorations are down and it not spring yet. It needs the wintery decorations! Beautiful job!

    I like the country look your gave your pillow. The plaid was a surprise for the sky but I really think it's perfect. A winter pillow will get lots more use than a Christmasy one.

    Oh my goodness, yours in a wintery theme is SEW cute. Now I am going to have to make more. I really like that wintery idea........and I love it without the flange......I hadn't even noticed until I was reading what you wrote...:) I hopped around and look at lots of your other stuff on other posts, you do some GREAT work, was a lot of fun hopping here :D. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, unfortunately I was not any near a computer at all yesterday so I didn't get to hop yesterday. twice as much to get to today!
